Jennifer Matice  Welcome to second grade! My name is Mrs. Matice and I am a second grade teacher at Belmont Elementary School. I hope you had a great summer and you are ready to get started for this school year in 2nd grade.
I recently relocated back to the Northern Virginia area this summer after being in Northern NY this last year. I have been teaching for 6 years; most recently I was teaching middle school in Northern NY. Prior to that I taught 5th grade at Belmont Elementary. It is great to be back at home in Belmont. I graduated from SUNY Potsdam, where I received a Masters degree in Education. I also have a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology. I have always in enjoyed teaching and learning with children. I have an open door policy and parent communication is very important to me. Please make sure to check your child’s agenda every night.
